God, climate, and weather

Man is responsible for the weather:

According to televangelist Pat Robertson, man is responsible for the deaths suffered in recent tornadoes which swept the US.

"God didn't send the tornadoes. God set up a world in which certain currents interfere and interact with other currents. If enough people were praying, He would intervene. You could pray. Jesus stilled the storm. You could still storms.”

On the other hand...

Man has no responsibility for climate:

According to US Senator James Inhofe, a Republican from Oklahoma appearing on a Christian talk radio program, the science of climate change is wrong because God personally controls the climate.

"Genesis 8:22 that I use in there is that 'as long as the earth remains there will be seed time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night.' My point is, God's still up there. The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what He is doing in the climate is to me outrageous."

These people are nuts:

According to John Tyrrell, founder of this web site, both Inhofe and Robertson are confusing their religion with reality.

"Both of these individual have lost contact with the real world. The clinical term, I believe, is 'nuts.'"
