UCTAA, as an international organization, does not take an official position on this event. It is designed as a purely American affair. But we do encourage our members and clergy in the U.S.A. to consider participating, and our various State organizations to offer their support. The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in late June that reference to god in the US Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional. Immediately, US politicians united to denounce this finding, including a 99-0 vote in the Senate. This illustrates how little respect these elected officials have towards non-believers. This March on Washington is an opportunity to show the political strength of the non-religious community. Do not pass it up.
